This weeks meal plan is back to the basics! If you are new to meal planning this one is a great place to start. Most of the meals are very simple in preparation and are just veggies and a protein. This plan also has you cooking the same chicken recipe for 3 different meals to save time.

Even without following recipes you can do a basic meal prep by cooking your chicken in advance so it is ready to add to salads or you can put together with vegetables for healthy meals that feed your body well!! All of the meals on the blog are gluten free, this week we left out all of the cheese so they are dairy free too! If you are trying to trim a few inches and doing meal prep as part of the plan all of these meals are very light and a great nutrition plan for keeping it healthy and light. Be sure to stay on track by keeping your dressings light for the salads if you choose to use them.

I did provide recipes for all of the dishes below, but know this week is more about the meal prep method than the preparation. We made even more meals than we normally do, but in less time, and less things flying around the kitchen at once. I still seemed to make just as much of a mess. WOW do I make a mess when I cook! I am super thankful for my friend and sister in law who preps with me and always does the bulk of the clean up. The great thing about meal prep you are only making that big mess in your kitchen one time!

This week and every week for meal prep it is important to make a plan before you start. What are the cooking times and what needs to go in the oven first? Managing your stove top and oven time when you are making many meals at once will be the key to managing your time. Remember you can always make substitutions for family favorites. This week we subbed out tilapia for salmon in a couple of the meals, sausage for chicken. My kids are great eaters and eat everything on the meal prep plans but sometimes people have preferred proteins and its great to make everyone happy.

New features coming up on the blog this week so stay tuned. We have a Shop with Me section where you can purchase all of my favorite items I use, and nutrition labels and shopping lists are coming up! Plus, personal meal prep consultants and parties!! I am learning how to do the back end of the blog so thanks for your patience. Keep helping us spread the word by sharing with this blog your friends and on social media.

Happy Cooking!
