Oatmeal Jars
I love making oatmeal in a big batch so we have it for breakfast all week long. I wait to add sweeteners and the fruit until serving because we all like something different. It is quick and easy to add some frozen berries before heating.
Ingredients
- 2 cups uncooked steel cut oats
- 1 cup old fashioned oats
- 10 cups water
- 2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup chia seeds
Instructions
- Add 10 cups water to large pot. Bring to a boil. Add salt and both oats. Simmer for 25-30 minutes until cooked through. Let cool. Divide into containers and top with chia seeds.
- Season and top as you serve with honey, cinnamon, fresh fruit, protein powder, almond butter etc.
