It is hard for me to believe this is week 12 of meal prep, where has the time gone! This has been such a fun new adventure sharing what our family does for meal prep and recipes (well fun except for the technology part of building and still trying to figure out the site…coding not so much my strength). It gives me such joy when I get your comments on recipes and hear your stories of how meal prep and these recipes have helped you. As I have shared with you meal prep has not only helped us to be more healthy in our food choices, but the biggest health benefit has been the decrease of stress and “mom guilt” about feeding my family well. I cannot tell you enough how much I LOVE going to the fridge and having meals I can grab and go!
We all always have the best intentions, however without significant planning ahead, our busy lives get the best of us and when unexpected things happen or we are short on time, and stressed we make food decisions for ourselves and our family that we wouldn’t because we are hungry or stressed or someone in our family is hungry or stressed…and someone goes through a drive-thru or orders pizza….then you feel guilty..and don’t feel well from the food you ate. We don’t eat healthy all of the time but now most of what goes into our body is planned ahead and ready to go so when we choose to go out to eat, we can order what we love and enjoy it with no guilt!
