Pork Stir Fry
Another Asian dish.......as I probably say about everyone asian is my daughter's current favorite. Learn the basics of this technique and add your own flair.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs Pork Loin Thinly Sliced
- 1 orange bell pepper thinly sliced (or any color)
- 2 bunch green onions cut into 2 inch segments on diagonal
- 1 head bok choy chopped
- 1 lb mushrooms sliced
- 3/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/2 cup chicken stock
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 TBS Vegetable oil
- 1 TBS Sesame oil
Instructions
- Place pork in the freezer for 1 hour to make it easier to cut. Slice pork thinly and coat in cornstarch.
- Mix 1/2 cup soy sauce, 1/2 cup chicken stock, and brown sugar. Set aside
- Heat wok or skillet to high and add vegetable oil and sesame oil. When oil is hot add pork and garlic saute until cooked through, about 5 minutes add 1/4 cup of soy sauce to coat. Set aside.
- Add peppers, onions, mushrooms and bok choy to pan, cook one minute. Add sauce mixture and pork, reduce heat and simmer until sauce thickens. Remove and serve with rice
- Optional: top with toasted sesame seeds.
