Thai Basil Turkey
Simple dish to prepare with classic thai flavors. As an alternative to rice I love putting the meat in boston lettuce leaves.
Ingredients
- 3 lbs ground turkey
- 1 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 4 tbsp fish sauce
- 1 jalapeno thinly sliced
- 12 cloves garlic
- 2 red bell peppers thinly sliced
- 2 oz thai basil
- 3 cup rice
- bunch green onions sliced
Instructions
- Cook rice according to package directions. (I use chicken stock instead of water)
- Brown ground turkey in large saute pan.
- In medium bowl combine garlic, jalapeno slices, chicken broth, soy sauce, fish sauce. Add sauce and peppers to the turkey and cook over medium low heat until flavors combine, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Top with torn basil and green onions. Serve with rice.
