Thai Basil Turkey

Simple dish to prepare with classic thai flavors. As an alternative to rice I love putting the meat in boston lettuce leaves.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 lbs ground turkey
  • 1 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 4 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1 jalapeno thinly sliced
  • 12 cloves garlic
  • 2 red bell peppers thinly sliced
  • 2 oz thai basil
  • 3 cup rice
  • bunch green onions sliced

Instructions
 

  • Cook rice according to package directions. (I use chicken stock instead of water)
  • Brown ground turkey in large saute pan.
  • In medium bowl combine garlic, jalapeno slices, chicken broth, soy sauce, fish sauce. Add sauce and peppers to the turkey and cook over medium low heat until flavors combine, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Top with torn basil and green onions. Serve with rice.
